Browsers & Padlocks

Many browsers indicate a secure link by using a closed padlock icon. The following images show some popular browsers when accessing our Britstream secure server over an encrypted link. Note that by accessing the same server over an unencrypted link, you will not get the icon as the data is no longer encrypted between the server and browser.

Internet Explorer 5.5

Internet Explorer 5.5 has been superceded by version 6, but is still extremely popular.

Netscape 7

The Netscape Browser now uses the mozilla engine which looks very similar.
